Yellapur: Land survey officer Chandramohan Narayanappa was apprehended by Lokayukta police in Yellapur while accepting a Rs 2,500 bribe at the Land Survey Department.

The incident unfolded at the town's taluk office, resulting in the officer's arrest and the confiscation of the bribe.

Chandramohan, a resident of Kurubarahalli in Gauribidanur taluk, allegedly demanded the bribe from Dheeraj Tinekar of Raveendra Nagar for surveying his three-acre, 19 gunta land.

Dheeraj promptly reported the demand to Lokayukta police, leading to a successful trap on Wednesday morning.
