Bhatkal: ZAM Distributors was inaugurated today on Jamia Abad Road, Madina Colony, Bhatkal, with a prayer led by Maulana Abdul Rab Khatibi Nadvi, Qazi Jamaat-ul-Muslimeen, Bhatkal. ZAM Distributors has received the distribution rights for Reliance’s Campa Cola soft drink across Uttara Kannada district. During the inauguration, Maulana congratulated the company’s three proprietors, Zaheer Ahmed Mulla, Ubada Hassan Mulla, and Aftab Hussain Damudi, offering them valuable advice on conducting business with honesty and faithfulness to Allah’s commands, which he described as essential for success. He concluded with a special prayer for the success of their new venture.

It is noteworthy that Reliance Industries (RIL) acquired Campa Cola from Pure Drinks Group in August 2022 for INR 2.2 billion to compete with Coca-Cola and Pepsi. In March 2023, RIL relaunched Campa Cola in three flavors—Cola, Orange, and Lemon—initially in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, with plans to gradually introduce it nationwide.

As part of its strategy, Reliance is positioning Campa Cola as a local alternative to Coca-Cola and Pepsi. Reliance is leveraging its retail network, including Reliance Fresh, Reliance Smart, and Jiomart, to build a strong platform for Campa Cola. With competitive pricing and aggressive marketing, Reliance has offered this soft drink as a viable alternative, especially amid ongoing global campaigns to boycott Israeli products. Reliance has ambitious plans to expand Campa Cola into other Asian markets as well as into Africa.

ZAM Distributors was appointed as the distributor for Uttara Kannada district, and on October 27, ZAM opened its first distribution center in Sirsi on Hubli Road, inaugurated by Sirsi MLA Bhimanna Naik. Today, the second center was opened in Bhatkal.

Providing more information about the company, Aftab Damudi stated that Campa Cola will be supplied to malls, hotels, and stores across Bhatkal and other parts of the district. He added that for events or celebrations where larger quantities of soft drinks are needed, Campa Cola will be available at wholesale prices.
