Mangaluru: Moderate rain, coupled with lightning and thunder, lashed different parts of Dakshina Kannada on Friday night.

The rain brought much relief from the sweltering heat. Puttur, Vittal, Bantwal, Thokkottu, Mangaluru, Udupi, Perdooru and surrounding areas received heavy rain.

In fact, power supply was disrupted in the interior areas due to rain.
