Mangaluru: In a accident, a rider was killed on the spot after he came under the  wheels of a speeding bus, coming from the opposite direction, at Baithurli Junction in 
Mangaluru.

The deceased is identified as Thammayya (42), a resident of Ulaibettu Kantarabettu.

It is said that the accident occurred when Thammayya tried to overtake a bus in front him but came under the wheels of the bus coming from the opposite direction. 

He was working at a catering unit.
