Haliyal: Taluk administration held a meeting of the bank managers and businessmen here to discuss the circulation of 10 rupee coins.

Addressing the bankers and the businessmen, tahsildar Vidyadhar Gulguli emphasised that the Rs 10 coins are a legal tender and are neither withdrawn nor is there any such proposal before the central government.

Exhorting the bankers and the public at large to honour the coins, he warned that strict legal action would be initiated against those who refuse to accept the coins.
