Mangaluru: The politics of insecurity in the country has been creating problems, said former IAS officer Sasikanth Senthil.
“Though many claim that there is an issue among religions in the country, it is not true. It is not a problem with religions nor is it hate politics,” Senthil stressed after inaugurating Sauharda Sammilana, organised by Samarasya recently.
“A politics of instilling fear to gain votes is being carried out in the country. It is only 10% of miscreants who are engaged in creating problems. The remaining 90% of people want harmony and peace. Instead of wasting time with those 10% miscreants, it is better to engage with the 90% of people in the country,” he added.
“Unity in diversity is the identity of India. We need to celebrate the diversity of the country. There is a rift between those who believe in India and those who do not believe in it. There is a need to unite all those who are part of Indianess. Only those who believe in love and harmony are eligible to shout the slogan Bharath Mata Ki Jai,” he said.
Senthil said that when 90% of the people start speaking for India, the remaining 10% cannot speak about hate.
Due to a fear of being branded anti-Hindu, many people have stopped raising their voices, he added.
