Karwar: Deputy Commissioner S S Nakul stated that, On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanthi, cleaning drive will be conducted at Majali beach on October 2, and District In-charge Minister R V Deshpande will inaugurate the programme.

Speaking to officials through video conference on Monday, he said, on October 3, cleaning works will be taken up at all government officials, schools and colleges in the district and on October 3 and 7, the officials will inspect the places, where cleaning process will held. This time, many awareness programmes will be organised in a special campaign, which will be held in rural areas form October 2 to 15. The aim of campaign is to create awareness of toilet construction.
