Sirsi: Iqra Education Trust, which was established in 1994, is commenorating 25 years by hosting a four-day long 'Silver Jubilee' celebration from December 27 to 30 here in Sirsi.
According to the press release issued by the trust, the program shall begin with Food & Craft Mela along with Awards ceremony on 27th December, Thursday, followed with Alumni program on Friday 28th December. On 29th December, Saturday, Shaheen Group of Institutes will be launched which is among the major event of the silver jubilee celebration, while on 30th December, Sunday, Dean of Shaheen Falcon College, Bengaluru will chair a special meet with parents. Later the entertainment programs too will be held.
It is also informed that on December 29, Saturday, a special event of 'Mushaira' (Urdu poetics) will be organized, in which many poets from across the country including internationally renowned Latha Haya too will be gracing the event.
The guests and dignitaries expected to share the stage in this four-day program include National president of Imami Chambers Bengaluru, Mir Mumtaz Ali; Former principal secretary to govt of Karnataka, Syed Zameer Pasha; Chairman of Bearys group, Muhammad Beary; Abdul Kareem Usman Shaikh from Goa, Yellapur MLA Shivram Hebbar; President of Majlise Islah Wa Tanzeem Bhatkal, KM Muzammil Qazia; Former president of Anjuman Hami e Muslimeen Bhatkal, Dr. SM Syed Khaleelur Rahman; Uttar Kannada district Congress chief, Bhimanna Naik; Chairman of Shaheen group of Institutions Bidar Dr. Abdulkadir, District in-charge Minister, RV Deshpande; Sirsi assistant commissioner Rajiv Mogaveer; Dean of Lucknow University Dr. MA Qalid, Anees Kutty from Pune and Sirsi MLA Vishweshvar Hegde.

The events will be presided over by the trust's president Abdul Quddus.
Iqra Education Trust provides education from LKG to Pre University college and as many as 500 students are studying under this trust.
