Mangaluru: As many as 36 persons involved in gambling were arrested by the Puttur police on early Monday at Boluvar in Puttur near Mangaluru and recovered Rs 98,000 and 36 mobile phones from their possession.

The police have booked cases against club owner Sujeetha Rai and building owner Shivaprasad Hegde and their assistants Manohar Rai, Ashok, Rajesh, Rukayya, Ashok, Ramachandra and Damodar.
