Udupi: The life guards at Malpe beach rescued a woman who had attempted to commit suicide at the beach by jumping into the water.

The woman rescued is Preethi (28). Before jumping into water, she had consumed sleeping pills.

The rescued has been shifted to the Ajjarakadu district hospital.
