Bhatkal: The incidents of thefts are reportedly increasing day by day in the taluk. Yet another robbery took place at a house in Aminuddin Road here at Nawayath Colony in Bhatkal on 17th August, Thursday, where the thieves broke into the house and fled away with clothes after being unable to find any jewelry or cash.
The house ‘Fareeha Manzil’ belongs to Mohtesham Mukhtar Ahmed, who stays with his family in Saudi Arabia. The family had appointed a keeper who would visit the house once in every 2-3 days.
According to sources, when the person appointed by the family visited the house on Thursday, he noticed that the house had been robbed. The thieves had entered the house after breaking the lock of the rear door.
However, as the thieves were unable to find any jewelry or cash, they stole the clothes which were present in the house.
In connection to the robbery, a case has been registered in Bhatkal town police station and investigations are carried on.
It is gathered that the house had also been previously robbed two years ago.
