Honnavar: A Bhadravati based tourist, who had visited Apsarkonda, drowned in the sea on Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Raghuveer Kariyappa Gowda (26).

Raghuveer along with his friends had been to Apsarkonda on a picnic. While playing in the sea, he drowned. His friends raised a voice for help.  Though the local people ran for his rescue, he could not be saved.

Manki police have registered a case in this regard.
