Mangaluru: Two men from Mysuru drowned in Panambur Beach while swimming, on Monday.

According to police, the deceased men were identified as Diwakar Aradhya (40) and Ningappa (65). 

Four persons including the deceased had arrived from Mysuru to take part in the jackfruit mela in Mangaluru on May 27. After taking part in the mela till May 29, they visited Panambur Beach on Monday morning.

While swimming at the beach, they were caught in the rip current and were washed away.

A case was registered at Panambur police station.
