Mangaluru: Two youngsters drowned in the lashing waves of the Arabian sea in Ullal beach near Mangalore on Wednesday morning in which one body has been found, another is still missing and the search was on.

Sources say, a group of around ten youths hailing from Tumkur district's Sira taluk, had been on a pilgrim visit to Ullal Dargah. After their visit to the dargah, they moved across the beach to swim. Accidentally, while swimming, a huge lashing wave took away three of the friends, of which one was successful in swimming and managed to safely reach the land. While the other two drowned in the sea and went missing.

The deceased youths have been identified as Ayaz S/o Jaleel (19) and Shahrukh S/o Siddique (19). One of the missing body was found later, while the search is being continued for the other body.

Ullal police have registered a case.
