UAE shooter Abdullah Sultan Al Aryani took his and his country’s second silver medal at the Rio Paralympics on Monday.

Al Aryani was beaten in the final of the R7 men’s 50-metre rifle three positions SH1 competition by Laslo Suranji of Serbia.

The Emirati sharp-shooter had to settle for silver despite leading for much of the contest, only falling behind in the final round.

He eventually lost by 2.1 points, but took a second silver medal to add to his victory in the R1 10m air rifle standing SH1 competition on Thursday.

Al Aryani will go for gold in the R6 mixed 50m rifle prone SH1 on Wednesday, the event he won gold in four years ago.
