Udupi: A 26-year-old woman and her two-year-old son have been missing from Mallar village in Kaup taluk since April 1, according to a complaint filed at Kaup police station.

Raisa Tabassum and her son Ijaan Ahmed had left home on April 1, informing the family that they will be visiting the maternal home of Tabassum, according to a complaint registered by Mumtaz, who is the mother-in-law of Tabassum.

Rizwan Ahmed, Tabassum’s husband, works in the United Arab Emirates.

The Kaup police personnel said that they have traced the whereabouts of the mother and son to somewhere in Uttar Pradesh.
