Will strive to rejuvenate Kannada schools: Karwar MLA Rupali Naik

Karwar: “The Kannada medium schools in the border city of Karwar are facing a tough situation. They are struggling for existence. I have discussed the matter with the Education Minister and will take all measures to rejuvenate the Kannada schools”, assured MLA Roopali Naik.

Speaking after inaugurating the district-level high school sports meet organised by Public Instruction Department in Karwar on Tuesday, the MLA said that students can become active and maintain a healthy life if they involve in at least a few extra-curricular activities along with their regular academic studies. Teachers and parents must identify the interest and talent of the children and help them achieve excellence in that field. They should help children succeed.

High school students of five taluks coming under Karwar Educational district participated in the sports meet. They took out an attractive march past before the beginning of various events. On the occasion, sportspersons who have excelled at State and national level were felicitated.

Karwar Educational district Deputy Director N G Naik welcomed the gathering while Taluk Panchayat President Pramila Naik presided over it.

Standing Committee Chairman Purushottam Gowda, Zilla Panchayat member Chaitra Kotharkar, Block Education Officer Ramamkrishna Nayak, High School Teachers Association’s Sudheer Nayak, Taluk Physical Education Inspector R H Naik and others were present.
