Bhatkal: YMSA managed to defeat Murdeshwar by 1-0 in the finals of 'Shaheen Football Trophy-2018 played here at Shaheen ground, Bhatkal, organized by Shaheen Sports Center. In a two-day tournament, which held on December 19 and 20, as many as 14 teams from Bhatkal taluk had participated.

Earlier in semi-finals, YMSA qualified for finals after defeating Al-Hilal Bhatkal by 1-0, while Murdeshwar entered finals by defeating Shirur by 2-0. 

The champion team YMSA was awarded with cash amout 9,999 rupees along with attractive trophy, while runner-up Murdeshwar was received cash amount of 5,555 rupees along with trophy. Best striker award went to Shafi of YMSA, while Best Goalkeeper and Best defender award was conferred to Nasif of YMSA and Huzafa of Murdeshwar respectively.

The presentation ceremony was presided by Shaheen Sports Center president Samiullah Ittal, while general secretary Mubasshir Hallare delivered welcomed note and vote thanks.

On this occasion Bhatkal DySP Valentine D,Souza , Tmc President Sadique Matta, Jamaatul Muslimeen Makhdoom colony President Moulana Shujauddin, Khalifa Jammatul Muslimeen Secretary  Jailani Siddiqua, Patron Jamaat Makhdoom Mohmmed Usman Hallare, BMYF member Haroon Shingeri, Shaheen VP Abdul Qaiyum Colombo, Sports Secretary Janab Fathimi Shabandri, Salman Chamundi, Mohsin HB, Imran Mukhtesar, Yaseen Tahira, Irfan Medical and many others were present.
