Karwar:  A 15-Years old student, Nik Fernandez drowned, while swimming in  Nagarmadi falls in Karwar taluk on 6th September, Tuesday.

Sources said, the deceased Nik Fernandez was an SSLC student hailing from Panji in Goa. Observing the occasion of feast, a group of family had gone for a picnic trip to Nagarmadi falls when the incident reported. Unfortunately, the floating water drowned him while swimming, which made it impossible to rescue him and led to claim his life. 

In this regard, a case has been registered in Karwar rural police station and further investigations are going on.
