Mysuru:  Karnataka BJP president and former CM B S Yeddyurappa has threatened to sue chief minister Siddaramaiah for describing him as the most corrupt political leader in the country.

Yeddyurappa said he was not in fact the most corrupt, for he was acquitted by the courts last year.

Yeddyurappa also challenged Siddaramaiah to order a CBI probe into the contents of two diaries seized from a Congress legislator K Govindaraju and BJP MLC Lehar Singh's houses.

He said the CBI probe would expose the Rs 65 crore kickbacks paid to Siddaramaiah’s family for giving the nod for the controversial Steel Bridge in Bengaluru. The contents of the diary would force Siddaramaiah to resign from the office, he said.

Yeddyurappa said Siddaramaiah would be the most corrupt chief minister in India.
