Fishermen asked to vacate unregistered boats from Murdeshwar coast

Bhatkal: Auxiliary director of the fishery department has ordered fishermen to vacate all unregistered boats anchored at the coast of Murdeshwar 2pm of 17th Nov.

The officer in his order has stated that according to the 'Kartanaka Coastal Fisher's Act 1947',  any of the boats without registration or without registration number plate or the boats which are not being used for fishing and are anchored on the shore for a long time should be vacated from the coast immediately. Those owners failing to obey the orders will be legally investigated apart from the charges of investigation which will be taken from them.

In a press release, it was said that the owners will be held responsible for the loss to the any of the shops or government property during the forced evacuation if the owners failed to obey the order within the deadline.
