Kumta: Since couple of days, the coastal Karnataka is continuously recording the road accidents, into which the tragedies related to gas tankers put people develop fear within them. In the early afternoon around 1PM of 27th October, Thursday, a gas tanker unfortunately faltered on the NH66 near Betkuli gram limits in Kumta, leaving driver to sustain injuries.

The National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NIT-K) at Surathkal near here will soon have one of the largest solar rooftops in a government academic institution in the South.
The power grid, which would generate one MW of power, was being installed across 11 academic buildings of NIT-K as part of the national solar mission.
