Kundapur: A youth got thrashed up by locals near Kantheshwara temple in Kundapur, when his attempt to kidnap a six-year-old boy went south.
It was learnt that, the youth pulled the kid off his bicycle and tried to run with him as soon as he heard the mentioning of having CCTV at his home. This incident occurred on 5th March, Sunday.
But while his attempt to get off with the kid was in progress, the kid started shouting and a local auto driver noticed him and at once raised an alarm, that got other people together and after chasing him they finally caught him.
The locals not only held the youth, but thrashed him up too. It is found that the accused is a native of north Karnataka and residing in Kumbhashi. Also is a worker involved in the construction of a temple near Kumbhashi.
As per the information received, it is said that the parents of the boy have refused to file a police complaint.
