Bhatkal: Mudassir Mubarak’s spectacular all-round performance helped Cosmos to thrashed Sunshine by 7 wickets, in an Madeena cup league cricket match in Bhatkal on Monday.

The Cosmos all-rounder hit a blistering 65 from 50 balls after his team were reeling at 36 for three.  Cosmos cantered to victory target of 137 in 19.2 overs.

It was a day to remember for Mudassir Mubarak as he first took 3/20.

With the willow, Mudassir belted five boundaries and a six adding 101 runs in 14.1 overs for the fourth wicket with Mustaqeem (30 no) to take his team for victory.

Earlier, a disciplined performance by the Cosmos bowlers enabled them to restrict Sunshine to 136 for 9 in stipulated 20 overs.

For the sunshine team, Ibrahim played a useful hand with 31 runs while Ahmed (27) also showed some promise during his brief stay.

Mudassir Mubarak (20/3) and Aftab (22/3) were impressive as they never let the Sunshine batsmen dominate the bowling for a lengthy period of time.
