Mangaluru: City has witnessed a surge in legal actions under the NDPS Act, with law enforcement officials recording a total of 42 cases in just one week.
The Commissioner of Police, Anupam Agrawal, revealed that between November 6 and 12, the police successfully seized 1.074 kg of ganja valued at Rs 23,550, along with 54 grams of MDMA worth Rs 2.70 lakh.
During this period, seven cases were officially registered, leading to the apprehension of 13 individuals involved in drug possession.
Additionally, 35 cases were filed, resulting in the arrest of 36 individuals linked to drug consumption.
