UDUPI: District In-charge Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar refuted any claims of a political angle associated with the incident involving a mobile camera placed in a washroom to record a girl.

The minister emphasized that such acts are a disgrace to society, and swift action has been taken against the perpetrators by registering an FIR.

Hebbalkar further asserted that the well-being and future of children are of utmost importance, transcending considerations of caste or religion.

Additionally, she expressed concern about attempts by certain parties, particularly the BJP, to politicize the Udupi washroom issue while Manipur faces significant challenges.
