N.K Muslim United forum held Signature campaign in Kumta against law panel move on uniform civil code

Kumta: A signature campaign against the law panel move on uniform civil code was held here at Madrasa-e-Muhammadia hall in Kumta by North Kanara Muslim United Forum with the co-operation of Kumta Jamat-Ul-Muslimeen on 24th October, Monday.

NK Muslim United Forum invited the representatives of different Jamat-Ul-Muslimeens from entire Kumta taluk and gathered  them at Madrasa-e-Muhammadia hall at morning around 10AM, after which they were advised regarding the signature campaign.

Present as a guest in the meeting, Qazi Markazi Khalifa Jamat-Ul-Muslimeen of Bhatkal Maulana Khwaja Mohiddin Akrami Nadvi spoke about the status of women in Islam and said that the Islam is the only religion which has uplifted the status of women. He focused on urging Muslims to stay stiff on the shariah laws, which was the most beautiful and successful way of life in every aspect.

Member of All India Muslim personal law board, Maulana Abdul Aleem Qasmi, enlightened the audience saying that through the signature campaign called by All India Muslim Personal Law Board against the law panel move on uniform civil code, the Muslims of the entire country are opposing the uniform civil code and they fully hoped that this campaign would reach a successful stage.

Gen secretary of North Kanara Muslim United Forum, Muhammad Mohsin Quazi welcomed the guests and audience, before which the versus from the Holy Quran were read. The meet was presided by Basti Abdul Malik Saheb.

On the occasion, ex-general secretary of Markazi Khalifa Jamat-Ul Muslimeen Bhatkal Meera Siddiqua, President of Bhatkal Muslim Youth Federation Imtiyaz Udyawar, President of NKMUF Kumta Unit Muhammad Akbar Mulla, gen secretary Ali Damkar Saheb, founder member Abusaleha Mulla and many others witnessed the meet.
