Dubai: The eleventh edition of the Jan & Bros Bhatkal Premier League (BPL)T20 cricket tournament kicked off on Sunday, December 29, at the JMR Ground in Sharjah.

Distinguished personalities graced the occasion, including Chairman Yasir Kashimji, BMJD President Shariar Khateeb, BMKC President Farooq Musbah & BPL Patron Mohammed Ghouse Khalifa. The main sponsor, Jan & Bros representative Jan Abdur Rahman Mohtesham, delivered an inspiring address.

BMJD General Secretary Jailani Mohtisham, SMS Auto owner Imran Shaikh, and other governing council members were also present, emphasizing the tournament’s robust organizational foundation. 

The tournament at JMR Ground is set to offer an exciting cricketing spectacle while fostering camaraderie and sportsmanship among the community. This season, eight teams will compete fiercely for the coveted title, promising thrilling cricket action and a celebration of sportsmanship and unity in the community.

The ceremony commenced with a heartfelt recitation of the verses from Qur’an by Maulana Shakeeb Shabandri. Deputy commissioner of BPL Imran Khateeb compered the event, while BPL Commissioner Taha Muallim delivered vote of thanks.
