Mangaluru: Excise Police seized 114 cartons of Goa liquor and arrested Radhakrishna Kamat and Sadananda Kamat for illegally transporting liquor to Kerala in an goods Tempo at Ullal.

The accused, previously nabbed for hiding liquor in coconut shipments, used the same tactic. 

Acting on specific information, the Excise Police, under the guidance of Joint Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner of Excise, raided the vehicle at Mudipu-Nettilapadavu.

Earlier, on June 9, 2023, Kerala police arrested individuals in Kasaragod transporting 2484 liters of illegal liquor concealed in coconut shells. The accused, Kamat, previously released on bail, has resumed trafficking.
