Mangalore: A tragic incident occurred on Friday in Bantwal taluk as an ambulance driver lost his life when his vehicle overturned near Wagga.

The deceased has been identified as Shabbir, a resident of Madantyar Maladi in Belthangady taluk.

Sources report that Shabbir was en-route from Belthangady to Mangalore, a distance of 60 km, while transporting a patient. Tragically, he lost control of the ambulance, resulting in it overturning near Wagga. Shabbir sustained severe injuries in the accident and was promptly rushed to a private hospital. Unfortunately, despite efforts, he succumbed to his injuries.
