Bhatkal: Amrita Moger, an assistant professor at Government First Grade College, Honnavar, has been awarded a Doctorate in Philosophy from Karnataka University, Dharwad. Her thesis, titled "Themes and Techniques in the Select Novels of Muriel Spark: A Study" in English.

She received her doctorate at the 73rd convocation ceremony of Karnatak University Dharwad, held in Dharwad on Monday, October 30, 2023. The degree was conferred by Karnataka Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot and Karnataka's Higher Education Minister, Dr. MC Sudhakar.

It is worth recalling that in 2015, she secured the first rank with a gold medal for her outstanding performance in the MA English program at Bijapur Women's University.

Hailing from Bailur village in Bhatkal taluk, Amrita Moger has received numerous well-wishes for her future endeavors following this significant achievement.
