Bhatkal: Safa, Afrah Honored with 'Batool-e-Anjuman' Award at AGHS Annual Gathering"

Bhatkal: The annual social gathering of Anjuman Girls High School (AGHS), Basti Road, was celebrated on Thursday in Bhatkal, during which the 'Batool-e-Anjuman' awards were presented to outstanding students. The prestigious 'Batool-e-Anjuman' award for the year 2023-24 was given to Safa D/o Abdul Majeed Fareed. In the previous year, the award was given to Afrah D/o Syed Irfan, for the academic year 2022-23.

Furthermore, silver medals were awarded to outstanding students in both years. For the year 2023-24, the distinguished recipients were Arwa D/o Abdul Qayyum Akrami, and Ifra Anjum D/o Ibrahim Shaikh. In the preceding academic year 2022-23, the silver medals for eminent students were conferred upon Khamrunnisa Anjum D/o Mohammed Sirajuddin Shaikh, and Kurrath D/oNanne Sab. These accolades highlight the academic excellence and achievements of the respective students in their academic pursuits.

The Chief Guest of the annual school gathering, Mrs. Furkana Afrose Batin, addressed the assembly by reminiscing about her high school days. She emphasized the crucial role of education, particularly for women, noting that when a woman is educated, an entire community benefits. Mrs. Batin encouraged everyone to draw inspiration from Hazrat Khadijah (R.A), an epitome of self-empowerment. Hazrat Khadijah (R.A) was a strong and independent woman, known for her loyalty, and is regarded as the best among all women, Mrs. Batin added.

Mrs. Batin highlighted the collective responsibility for a student's success, involving parents, teachers, mentors, and friends. In today's generation, parents are urged to foster a friendly relationship with their children. It is essential that parents avoid comparing their kids to others, recognizing the unique strengths and abilities of each child. Mrs. Batin also shared valuable tips for students to overcome exam fears and prepare effectively.

Presiding over the function, Mrs. Seema Abubaker Kashimji, Member of Ladies Advisory Committee, Anjuman Hami e Muslimeen, Bhatkal, addressed the gathering on the importance of "Batool e Anjuman." She highlighted that all the headmistresses and principals of Anjuman are alumni of the institution. Mrs. Kashimji underscored the significant emphasis placed on education within Anjuman Institutions.

The program began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Arwa Akrami, Hamd by Insharah and group, Naat by Munazzira Tayiba, Fathima Saniya Shabandri and Team sang the Anjuman Tarana song, Welcome Song by Naaz Fathima and group, Headmistress Aatiya AG presented the annual school report, and Miss Aseeya AG delivered the vote of thanks.

Dr. Farzana Mohtesham, Mrs. Taliah Muallim, Mrs. Saba Damda, Miss Shehnaz Jukaku, Mrs. Kalpana Talegeri and Mrs. Haseena Shaikh were present on the dais.
