Bhatkal: A Voter ID Mega Camp is set to take place on Bhatkal Bundar Road this Monday, offering services for new voter list enrolments, existing card corrections, address changes, and more. Additionally, holders of old ID cards will have the opportunity to upgrade to new smart cards at the camp.

The camp's convenor, Abdul Sami Siddique, announced that the Bhatkal Tehsildar has allocated 10 to 12 Block Level Officers (BLOs) to facilitate the camp, with assistance from members of local sports centers. Organized by the Bhatkal Noor Region, the camp aims to ensure that the community's voter registration details are up-to-date ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.

Participants of the camp are requested to bring their Aadhaar card, proof of address, proof of date of birth, a mobile phone for OTP generation, and a passport-size color photograph. The camp will be hosted at Al-Afrah Shaadi Hall, located on Bunder Road 4th Cross, and will run from 9 am to 4:30 pm. This initiative represents a vital opportunity for Bhatkal residents to verify their inclusion in the voter list or to address any discrepancies, such as omitted names.

The Noor region, encompassing Noor Sports Center, Al Iman Sports Center, Super Star Association, Shaheen Sports Center, Al Hilal Association, and Moon Star Sports Center, is actively involved in this effort. Volunteers from these centers will be available to guide participants through the process.

Support for the camp comes from notable organizations such as Majlis e Islah wa Tanzeem and the Bhatkal Muslim Youth Federation, highlighting the community-wide collaboration behind this event.
