Yellapur: A tragic incident unfolded on Wednesday morning as the driver of a private bus, transporting tourists, lost his life when the bus veered out of control and collided with a roadside mound.

The deceased, identified as Batina Sunil (33) from Nellore Kalgeri in Andhra Pradesh, met with the accident near the Arbail Maruti Temple on the Hubballi-Ankola national highway in Yellapur taluk.

The bus was en route from Hyderabad to Gokarna with 33 passengers on board, and unfortunately, 15 of them sustained injuries in the collision.
