New Delhi: AAP leader Sanjay Singh, arrested in connection with a money laundering case related to the alleged Delhi excise policy scam, has been remanded to judicial custody until October 27 by a Delhi court. During the proceedings, the court cautioned Singh against making "political speeches" inside the courthouse, particularly focusing on unrelated matters.

Media reports reveal that Singh informed the court that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had not taken action on his complaint against Gautam Adani. However, Special Judge M.K. Nagpal reprimanded Singh for discussing unrelated matters and warned of conducting future proceedings through video conferencing if such conduct persisted.

Prior to his appearance in court, a viral video captured Singh making remarks about Adani and Modi, expressing concerns about Adani's influence and calling for an investigation into Adani's alleged wrongdoings.

In response to Singh's claims, the court ordered his detention after the ED presented him following the expiration of his custody. Singh contended that the ED failed to ask him relevant questions during his custodial interrogation, focusing instead on personal financial transactions.

Singh was arrested by the probe agency on October 4, with the ED asserting his significant role in formulating and implementing the now-defunct policy that purportedly favored specific liquor manufacturers, wholesalers, and retailers for financial gains.
