Mangaluru: Mundkur Shyamprasad Kamath assumed the role of Managing Director at Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) on Wednesday. 

With over 30 years of experience in the downstream hydrocarbon industry, Kamath, a MIT Manipal graduate, holds a strong track record. In his prior position as Executive Director (Refinery) at MRPL, he excelled in operations, maintenance, and production planning, emphasizing operational excellence, energy conservation, and digitalization.

Kamath has been a key influencer in integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) for cutting-edge advancements. 

His vision for sustained growth and technological innovation positions him as a driving force in MRPL's success, contributing to the industry's forefront.
