Murdeshwar Lifeguards Save Drowning Tourist, Shift Him to Hospital

Bhatkal: In the renowned tourist spot of Murdeshwar, lifeguards successfully rescued a tourist from Hassan who was drowning in the Arabian Sea. The youth, identified as Manoj (24), faced a medical emergency while swimming with a group of seven others who had arrived from Hanmanta Pura, Hassan.

At approximately three in the afternoon, Manoj began experiencing a seizure and lost consciousness in the sea. Alert lifeguards immediately rushed to his rescue, skillfully retrieving him from the water. Due to water entry in his body, Manoj's condition had deteriorated significantly. The lifeguards promptly administered first aid, including inverting him to clear the water, before rushing him to a nearby private hospital.

Currently, Manoj remains in a critical condition and is receiving intensive care in the hospital's ICU. The heroic lifeguards who played a vital role in this rescue operation include Chandrashekar Devadiga, Jayaram Harikanth, Hanumanta, and Beach Supervisor Dattatray Shetti. Their efforts were further supported by the Ocean Adventure boat.
