Karwar: Deputy Commissioner Gangubai Manakar rescinded the previous directive that had imposed a ban on the traffic flow along the Ramanagar-Goa National Highway 4A through Joida taluk.

A temporary prohibition on vehicular movement on the highway, effective from January 5 to 25, was enforced due to the South Western Railway (SWR) undertaking expansion work on the Tinaighat-Castle Rock railway line in the Tinaighat section of the highway. Alternative routes were recommended for both heavy and light vehicle traffic.

In the latest announcement permitting vehicular movement, the deputy commissioner stated that the ban on vehicle movement has been lifted following confirmation from the Railway Vikas Nigam project director regarding the completion of the work.
