Bhatkal: The Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) organized a protest demonstration outside the Bhatkal Circuit House on Friday to strongly condemn recent incidents of violence against Christians in Manipur and Muslims in Haryana, along with the tragic killing of four individuals, including three Muslims, by a railway police constable in Maharashtra. The protesters also raised slogans against BJP and RSS, alleging their involvement in these distressing events.
Muhammad Taufiq Beary, the District President of SDPI, addressed the demonstrators, expressing deep concern over the escalating turmoil in the nation due to the divisive agenda propagated by the Sangh Parivar. He highlighted the ongoing unrest in Manipur, the eruption of communal clashes in Haryana, and the unsettling incident in Maharashtra where an RPF jawan fatally shot three innocent Muslims and his own senior officer, within a train. Taufiq Beary squarely attributed the rising violence across various regions of the country to the pernicious influence of the Sangh Parivar and its divisive politics.
Taufiq Beary emphasized that the SDPI has embarked on a series of protests throughout the state to condemn these distressing incidents and to call for their cessation. He asserted that the BJP has cynically weaponized violence and communal animosity for political gains, pointing out that the Modi-led government has displayed insufficient efforts to restore peace in Manipur despite the region being in turmoil for three months.
Further, Taufiq Beary held the Sangh Parivar accountable for the mosque arson and tragic loss of six lives, including the mosque's imam, in Haryana.
Taufiq Beary lamented the unfortunate reality that the poison of hatred, pervasive across the country, has infiltrated even the ranks of railway security personnel. He attributed this to the tragic instance of a constable senselessly taking the lives of four innocent individuals, with fellow officials attempting to shield him by attributing his actions to mental instability. This distressing incident underscores the tangible impact of the hate propagated by the Sangh Parivar and certain media outlets. Taufiq Beary reiterated SDPI's unequivocal condemnation of all such incidents and called for stringent action against those responsible.
Muhammad Laeeq from SDPI extended a warm welcome and delivered the vote of thanks at the conclusion of the event. The SDPI General Secretary Amanullah, Media Incharge Abdul Sami Shaikh, Assembly President Saqib Shaikh, General Organizing Secretary Zain, Tanveer Basha, and numerous other members were also present
