Sullia: A young man named Sameer (26), a resident of Dharmanagar, Varkadi, Kasaragod, tragically drowned and lost his life during a river bath on Sunday.

Sameer, employed at Vision Opticals and residing in Sullia, went to the Payaswini river with two friends on December 31 to wash clothes and enjoy a holiday.

Unfortunately, while bathing, Sameer drowned in the river. 

Subsequently, a search operation conducted by the police, fire brigade, and drowning experts recovered his lifeless body. 

Sullia police have registered a case.
