Karwar: In view of the imperative railway track doubling work by South Western Railway (TGT-CLR Railway Doubling Project) in the Ramanagar-Anmod area (Tinne ghat) of Joida Taluk, Uttara Kannada district, a temporary suspension of all traffic on Ramanagar-Goa National Highway (NH-4A) has been mandated from January 5 to 25. Deputy Commissioner Gangubai Maankar has issued an order to enforce a prohibition on vehicular traffic during this period.

To facilitate movement, the following traffic arrangements have been implemented:

Light vehicles traveling from Anmod to Ramanagar (Dandeli) will follow a one-way route through Anmod-Kiasaralok Cross-Kiasaralok-Kunagini Checkpost-Chandewadi-Jagalabet.

Light vehicles moving from Ramanagar to Anmod will follow a one-way route via Ramnagar-Thinne ghat-Marsangal Cross-Hemmadag Road-Anmod.

Moderate traffic, as well as heavy vehicles, are directed to use the Alnavar-Haliyal-Yellapur-Karwar-Goa route.

These measures are in effect to ensure the smooth progress of the railway project and to manage traffic flow safely during the specified period.
