Udupi: In a tragic incident at Malpe fisheries harbour, a fisherman lost his life after accidentally plunging into the water while riding his two-wheeler on Tuesday.

Expert Diver Ishwar Malpe quickly responded, reaching the spot and successfully retrieving the submerged scooter.

Hailing from Tamil Nadu, the deceased fisherman was employed for boat-related work. 

His lifeless body was recovered on the same day.

A case had been registered at the Malpe police station.
