Mangaluru: Trawl boat capsizes after striking rock; all six fishermen saved

Mangaluru: A trawl boat returning to Ullal from a fishing trip capsized Friday morning after colliding with a rock mid-sea. 

All six fishermen aboard the vessel were rescued by fishermen from two other boats. 

Fish catch, nets, and other goods worth several lakhs were lost in the incident.

The boat involved in the mishap belonged to Nayana P Suvarna. Her husband, Praveen Suvarna, was operating the vessel. He, along with fishermen of UP origin named Samara Bahaddur, Ram Manoj, Rohith, Prakash, and Vasu, were rescued.
