Udupi: The Second Additional District and Sessions Court of Udupi passed an order today rejecting the bail application filed by the accused Praveen Chowgule in connection with the Nejar case involving the massacre of a mother and children.

The accused, Praveen Chowgule, currently in judicial custody, filed a bail application on December 14 through advocate K.S.N. Rajesh. Public Prosecutor Prakash Chandra Shetty raised objections to this application.

After hearing the arguments, Judge Dinesh Hegde dismissed the bail application, citing the evidence collected by the police during the investigation, which indicates the accused's involvement in the crime.

Additionally, there are eyewitnesses in this case.

The order emphasized that the nature of the crime is serious, punishable by death, and as the investigation is still ongoing, the bail application is rejected.
