Karwar: Muslim senior doctors have been sent to Bhatkal to clear the misconceptions and rumors regarding the MR vaccines.
District Health and Family Welfare Officer Ashok Kumar said that two senior Muslim doctors have been sent to Bhatkal to clear any misconceptions regarding the MR Drive which is being held for children all over the district, as problems were caused due to some rumors spread on social networks.
The doctors namely Dr. Hussain sahb Khaji the hospital superintendent of Belagavi district and Dr. Salim of Haliyal will be visiting the town in order to convey the importance of the MR drive and clear the misconceptions.
Ashok Kumar also stated that they would stay in Bhatkal until 24th Feb and try to clear all the mess caused by the rumors about the vaccination drive.
He also gave a warning through the press that strict action will be taken on those who are spreading such malicious rumors via social media.
