Dharwad: After holding the PUC second year exam which sailed off smoothly in Dharwad district, the district administration is gearing up to conduct the SSLC examinations which will be held from March 30 to April 12.
Chairing a preparatory meeting at his office with regard to the smooth conduct of the SSLC examination, Deputy Commissioner S B Bommanahalli has sought the support and co-operation of all the departments to ensure that the students write their exams hassle-free.
To contain exam malpractices, the deputy commissioner has formed a district squad. This squad will be headed by himself, with ZP CEO, SP, Assistant Commissioner, Divisional Joint Director, DIET Principal, DDPU, DDPI, and District Exam Board as its members.
Accordingly, such squads have been formed at the taluk-level too to curb exam malpractice and to conduct the exam in a transparent manner.
The taluk-level squad comprises of Mines & Geology senior geologist, horticulture department officials, backward classes officer, ZP planning officer, and Animal Husbandry deputy director.
The Deputy Commissioner has issued prohibitory orders under section 144 in area of 200 meter around the examination centres in Hubballii-Dharwad Municipal Corporation limits and rural district respectively. The photo copy shops in the prohibited areas have been asked to close shops during the examination hours.
