Udupi: Udupi Bar Association President Reynolds Praveen Kumar has lauded the Udupi District Police Department for swiftly investigating and apprehending the suspect in the horrific murder of four family members in Nejar. He has also urged the state government to establish a special court to expedite the trial of this heinous crime.
Kumar expressed his appreciation for the police's prompt and effective handling of the case, acknowledging that their actions have restored public trust in the police force. Given the severity of the crime, he has called for the Udupi's Nejaru murder case to be transferred to this special court, particularly as there are no pending cases currently before the Bengaluru church bomb blast special court.
In his statement, Kumar urged the government to relocate this special court to Udupi, equipping it with a presiding officer, additional staff, and necessary furnishings until the case reaches its conclusion. He further emphasized the need to appoint a special public prosecutor to ensure swift justice for the bereaved family.
