Karwar: Abhiranga, a children drama festival and streetplay programme held in Karwar, in which children displayed their talents.The students enthralled the audience and their parents by their performance.

District administration in association with Zilla panchayat, Balbhavan Society and Women & Child Welfare Department organised the events.

While inaugurating the program Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive officer L Chandrashekar Naik said, every child is born with talent and nurture their skills. This drama fest is being organized to provide a platform for display of talents and the children have enthusiastically participated in it.

He said Awareness on children rights and development of social concern in children is possible through streetplay. He also added that there is a need to hold more such programmes and bring out the talents in children.
