Intellectuals praise services of APCR as it released more than 1000 innocents in a year

New Delhi: More than thousand innocent prisoners have been released from jails by Association for Protection of Civil Rights (APCR) within the last one year across the country and more than 1700 cases are representing in different courts to provide justice to the victims and relief to the victim kin. This information was given by APCR National secretary Nadeem Khan in a program held for lawyers to honour thier services.

Presenting a brief report of APCR Nadeem Khan told how APCR has provided legal assistance to people, what kind of milestone has it crossed, the challenges faced and what are the challenges ahead for APCR to move forward. He also said that in Delhi riots alone, more than three hundred people were released from jail within a year, while APCR is engaged in providing legal aid to people in different parts of the country. On this occasion, some lawyers who have done significant work for APCR were honored and their services were highly appreciated presenting mementos.

Expressing satisfaction and happiness over the report, President of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind Syed Saadatullah Hussaini said that the report has increased the courage and morale of our people. He said that APCR is running a campaign to end the fear faced by the entire community. Describing the services of APCR as extraordinary, he described APCR as the benefactor of the entire country and made it clear that those who are trying to establish justice in the country are the benefactors of the entire country. He assured all possible cooperation from Jamaat-e-Islami Hind to APCR and the lawyers and activist working in it.

Jamia Nagar MLA and leader of Aam Aadmi Party Amanatullah Khan, who was present in the program, praised the services of APCR and assured all possible cooperation from his side. He said that today the Muslim Ummah needs good and competent lawyers and journalists more than doctors and engineers. He clarified that only journalists and lawyers can work to bring the community out of the fear atmosphere. He urged the public to make the most gifted and capable child in your family a lawyer.

Well-known social activist Harsh Mandan praised the services of APCR and said that fighting against injustice is not only the responsibility of Muslims, but of all citizens. He said "after 71 years of independence, I feel that today the country is in most difficult condition. Expressing concern over the incidents happening to Muslims, he urged the people of the country to come forward to fight for justice.

In the program, momentos were presented to key advocates who had rendered excellent service to APCR. Among them are Supreme Court Advocate Fuzail Ayyubi, Rajasthan Advocate Saadat Ali, Delhi Advocate Tara Narola, Priya Vets, Deeksha Devedi, Tamanna Pankaj,  Uttar Pradesh Advocate Najamus Saqib, Sagheer and Saleem Qureshi.
