Udupi: A three-year-old boy named Sushanth lost his life after a sliding gate at a resort collapsed and fell on him on Tuesday in Kota. The accident happened in the evening at Kotathattu, near Sushanth's home.

Sushanth, the son of Sudhir from Katapadi, had been visiting his mother's house in Kotathattu for the past ten days. On the fateful day, he was playing with friends near the gate of a nearby resort.

The child sustained severe head injuries and was rushed to the Kota Government Hospital. However, he succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital.

A case had been registered at  Kota police station.
